How we handle your family’s information
The short version of how Homework Twin handles your family’s information.
- Built for parents, not children
- Parents use the site and hand their child paper. There are no child accounts and no chat with children.
- We don’t keep your photos
- A homework photo is sent to an AI reading service to list the problems on it, then dropped. We never save it: not in a database, file or log.
- The AI service may keep them
- Photos are read by Google Gemini, or by a free model on OpenRouter if Gemini is busy. These free services may keep what they’re sent and use it to improve their AI, and people at Google may review it. If you’d rather not share a photo, type the problems instead: that never leaves your browser until you print.
- Names never reach the sheet
- The reader is told to leave out any student, teacher or school names, and only the arithmetic problems are kept.
- Your account holds a name and email
- Signing in with Google or an emailed link gives us your name and email, used only to keep your daily allowance.
- New problems, not copies
- We make new problems of the same kind. We never reproduce the original worksheet.
- What we count
- How many sheets each account prints per day, and which kinds of problem we couldn’t make yet (as a count, never the problem itself).
